Centrifugal Chillers
Centrifugal chillers are often the most economical means to cool large buildings in the Kansas City area. Centrifugal chillers consist of four basic parts an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion device. The evaporator removes the heat from entering the chilled water. The compressor raises the temperature and pressure of a refrigerant by replacing kinetic energy with pressure. The condenser removes heat from the refrigerant gas causing it to condense to a liquid. After the refrigerant is condensed to a liquid it goes to the expansion device which reduces the pressure cooling down the liquid’s temperature.
Rotary Screw Chillers
Rotary screw chillers compress the air by reducing the volume in the refrigerant chamber using two rotating helical rotors. Single screw compressors use two gate rotors to rotate the screw thus compressing the air. In both cases, the air becomes chilled after the pressure is released. Supplying you with cool air for any Kansas City facility.
Semi-Hermetic
Semi-hermeticcompressors are ideal for refrigeration systems in the KansasCity area. This is due to the system being sealed from outside air. But unlike fully hermetic systems, semi-hermeticsystems can be accessed to perform routine maintenance extending the lifespan of this systems.
