Centrifugal Air Compressor Technician

Position Overview

The Centrifugal Air Compressor Technician supports mission-critical compressed air systems through advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, startup, commissioning, and repair activities.

This role is designed for experienced technicians who enjoy complex industrial equipment, rotating machinery, controls, and reliability-focused service work.

This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy solving technical problems, working independently, and helping customers maximize equipment reliability and performance.

What You’ll Do

Perform inspections and maintenance on centrifugal compressors
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
Support major overhauls and repair activities
Assist with equipment startup and commissioning
Analyze system performance and identify reliability improvements
Work with OEM technical support teams and customer maintenance personnel
Document findings and provide technical recommendations

Qualifications

Required

Industrial mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, or rotating equipment experience
Strong troubleshooting ability
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Valid driver’s license
Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred

Centrifugal compressor experience
Oil-free compressor experience
Vibration analysis experience
Reliability-focused maintenance experience
PLC, controls, and instrumentation knowledge
